    Qualifications

    *MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN WITH A SECRET CLEARANCE* 

    • Must currently possess DoD 8570 IA certification – Security +, CE certification or equivalent 

    Skills Required: 

    • Strong UNIX Administration
    • Good troubleshooting skills with network issues from the perspective of the operating system
    • Good documentation and process skills
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    • Experience with Remedy IT Ticketing system

    Competencies Required: 

    • HP-UX
    • Solaris 10 and up

    Technical Skills Required:

    • HP-UX
    • Solaris 10 and up
    • Scripting

    Responsibilities

    Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent UNIX (HP-UX and Solaris) and up through the current version on physical and virtual operating environments.

    • Provide senior level support to Hewlett-Packard UNIX (HPUX) operating system
    • Support other UNIX operating systems
    • Provide kernel configuration and tuning.
    • Perform system management and configuration.
    • Perform performance tuning, analysis and benchmarking.
    • Provide support in shell scripting tasks.
    • Provide support for the communications interfaces between servers and the communications infrastructure, including bonding, static routes, tcpwrappers and iptables/nftables.
    • Provide support of communication protocols used between IBM equipment, HPUX systems, Linux systems, Hewlett-Packard systems, Web servers, various switches and routers, and the NIPRNET.
    • Install and configure cluster technologies
    • Installation and configure shared file systems
    • Configure and manage HPUX servers to support large databases and applications, to include kernel parameters
    • Provide support of virtualization techniques for HPUX operating systems.  Perform maintenance and correct troubleshooting issues aligned with virtual technologies and the unique architectures involved in the virtual environments.

    Education Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree or eight years of experience in lieu of a college degree.
